ABOUT LPG

Engineering and energy advisory services that help organizations make confident, well-informed decisions about energy, infrastructure, and sustainability investments.

Who We Are

We are a company that cares — about the environment, about making a difference, and about helping our clients do the same.

LPG Consulting is a British Columbia engineering advisory firm led by a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), providing energy studies, building performance assessments, electrification and decarbonization planning, demand response strategy, and owner’s engineer services. Our work combines technical analysis, financial evaluation, and strategic planning, giving clients the clarity to act on energy, infrastructure, and sustainability investments.

Our services

We provide focused engineering and advisory services across five core areas.

Not sure where to start? Energy Studies & Feasibility is the first step for most clients, or contact us and we’ll guide you.

Energy Studies
& Feasibility

Identify energy-saving opportunities and evaluate project viability with data-backed analysis.

Demand Response
& Load Management

Reduce peak demand costs and unlock new value through strategic load management.

Building Performance
Assessments

Evaluate how a building is actually performing against how it was originally designed to perform.

Owner's Engineer
Services

Independent technical oversight on behalf of the owner, from planning through project execution.

Electrification
& Decarbonization Planning

Plan the transition from fossil-fuel systems to electric infrastructure with a clear technical roadmap.

Our Mission

Sustainability strengthens financial performance. Our mission is to provide clear understanding and actionable steps, decision-ready engineering analysis that shows the financial, operational, and environmental value of every opportunity, so each study becomes the first step toward action, stronger performance, and increased asset value.

Our Standards

P.Eng. Oversight

Every deliverable reviewed under professional engineering oversight.

EGBC Compliance

Work performed in accordance with applicable professional practice requirements.

Evidence-Based

Recommendations grounded in technical and financial evaluation.

Vendor Neutrality

No equipment sales or installation services.

Decision-Ready

Clear recommendations designed to support investment decisions.

Why Independence Matters

The services above are the work. This is why clients trust the recommendations behind them.

Most energy consulting in BC comes bundled with something else, a contractor quoting the retrofit they recommend, an equipment vendor sizing the system they sell, a design-build firm whose feasibility study conveniently favors their own scope of work.

That arrangement creates a structural conflict of interest, even when no one intends it. A recommendation is harder to trust when the person making it profits from a specific outcome.

Our recommendations are not influenced by equipment sales, installation work, or vendor commissions. When we tell a client a project doesn’t make financial sense, or that a smaller intervention outperforms a larger one, there’s no competing incentive pulling the recommendation in another direction.

BC-Specific Expertise

Many firms say they work everywhere. We work here, and that focus is deliberate.

British Columbia’s energy landscape is shaped by unique utility programs, regulatory requirements, and funding opportunities. Understanding how those systems work together is often the difference between a project that looks viable on paper and one that succeeds in practice.

How We Work

Every engagement follows the same professional principles: site-based data collection, not desk-based estimation; P.Eng.-reviewed recommendations; vendor-neutral evaluations; and decision-ready reporting. These standards ensure every recommendation is technically sound, objective, and practical to implement.

  • STEP 1

    Assess

    Understand facilities, operations, and objectives.

  • STEP 2

    Analyze

Evaluate technical performance, energy use, and financial impacts.

  • STEP 3

    Develop

Prepare recommendations, business cases, and implementation strategies.

  • STEP 4

    Support
